Hot Lips gets a letter from a friend that disturbs her. She learns her friend has married a doctor and now has a beautiful home, a pool and children. Hot Lips has nothing, including Frank. She feels she deserves better and she goes to Col. Blake to request a transfer. She finds Blake, Trapper and Hawkeye watching a girlie film. Hot Lips gives all three a piece of her mind. She accuses Hawkeye and Trapper of destroying her authority with the nurses and tells Henry he's a spineless, fly fishing impostor. Henry gives her the transfer forms and all three promise to keep it a secret. But Radar overhears her request and announces her departure on the PA system. The following day, Hawkeye and Trapper give her a champagne send off. Hot Lips proposes a toast and tells them she'll report their activities to a high-ranking general. Later, she has a drink from Hawkeye's still and brags about her high-ranking friends. Hot Lips, now with several drinks under her belt, has one more with Henry when Radar informs them that heavy casualties are on the way. Henry asks Hawkeye and Trapper to sober Hot Lips up since she's needed. They throw her under a shower with her clothes on and she confesses that she's always had a yen for Trapper. Hawkeye gives her a B-1 shot and by the time the wounded arrive she can work normally. Afterward, Hot Lips and Frank engage in verbal sparring with Hawkeye and Trapper, which puts a smile on Henry's face: his family is back to normal.
