Lt. Col. Henry Blake calls a meeting of his surgical staff officers to tell them the enemy has cut their supply lines. Hot Lips suggests they take drastic emergency measures. Blake puts Frank in charge of food distribution. Trapper will take care of heat and power. Hawkeye is in charge of maintenance and general supplies and Hot Lips is to look after the nurses. Mulcahy's assignment is to boost morale. Radar, in charge of housing, sets up three more bunks in the Swamp. Six in a tent will cut down on heating. Trapper tosses Radar's clipboard in the stove in retaliation. Just as Hawkeye and Trapper settle down to sleep, the new residents of the Swamp arrive: Mulcahy, Klinger, Blake and Radar. Just as everyone is about to doze off, wounded are brought in. The next day Blake finds most of his furniture has been used as firewood. Klinger tries to sleep in the nurses’ tent, but is thrown out by Hot Lips. The following day a truck arrives with much-needed supplies.
