Hot Lips is preoccupied by the impending visit of Col. Rachel Reese from the Nurses Corps. When she drops a scalpel in O.R, Hawkeye asks for another nurse. Offended, Hot Lips nags Frank into avenging her. He does, by flipping Hawkeye in the rump with a towel. Hawkeye, however, responds with a right to Frank's eye. Frank runs to Col. Blake demanding a court martial. Reluctantly Blake puts Hawkeye under house arrest Hot Lips is full of pep and when she hears about Hawkeye, she assumes he "grabbed a nurse and jumped on her bones." Trapper gives evidence for the report on Hawkeye's offense. He claims Frank slipped on a bar of soap. Meanwhile, Hawkeye is enjoying his house arrest and enforced leisure too much to suit Frank. He enjoys martinis and steak dinners. Mulcahy brings him a Red Cross package in accord with the rules of the Geneva Convention. Frank taunts Hawkeye by pointing out that he can step in and out of the tent, but Hawkeye can't. Reese watches an operation and fastens an admiring eye on Frank. Later that night, Frank goes looking for Hot Lips and finds Reese alone in the tent they are sharing. Reese pulls him inside and tenderly asks him to tell her all about himself. Frank likes nothing better. They have a drink and Reese kisses Frank's neck just as Hot Lips walks in. Reese recovers and screams "rape." Then, Reese tells Henry to file charges, placing Frank under house arrest. This prompts Hot Lips to clear Hawkeye. Free again, he shows Frank how he can step in and out of the tent as he pleases.
