A young Korean, Mr. Kwan, who assists Frank is blamed for his goof-ups in the O.R Hawkeye and Trapper befriend the assistant and learn that his wife is about to have a baby and he'd like to get a pass to be with her. They bribe Radar to slip a pass for Kwan in with papers for Col. Blake to sign. Meanwhile. Hawkeye and Trapper are assigned the job of doing medical examinations for personnel applying for permission to marry. One of them is Danny McShane, whose prospective bride is Song Hi, a business girl. She's been working in Rosie's Bar for two wars and Hawkeye tries to talk Danny out of it. He insists they love each other. Frank questions Kwan's pass and by the time Hawkeye and Trapper investigate the commotion, Kwan has slipped out of Frank's grasp and split. The next day Hawkeye and Trapper are visited by a shady medico, Pak, who offers them each $250 if they okay Song Hi's physical. They refuse and learn Pak is a marriage broker, arranging for Korean girls to marry G.I.s so they can get to the states. He'd offer them more, but Danny is getting $1000 as his cut. Kwan is recaptured and brought back. Henry Blake refuses to let him go to his wife, but sends Radar to bring her to the 4077th where she can have her child. Trapper faces down Danny and tells him the X-rays show Song Hi has tuberculosis. He can't marry her. On the way back to camp. Mrs. Kwan delivers her baby. Radar faints, but gets first billing on the name Radar Benjamin Franklin Trapper John Hemy Kwan. That, says Kwan, was for getting him the pass.
